克里斯汀·萊婭（Christine Leja）為自己設計的住宅便坐落於此。克里斯汀是一位建築師、設計師，更是富有遠見的夢想者。她創立領導的BConnected公司，旗下包括設計事務所、房地產公司和家居商店。

自宅設計的靈感來自一次美妙的洛杉磯之旅，她被洛杉磯自由的精神、熱情的色彩，隨處可見的熱帶植物深深觸動。正是那輕鬆自由的組合、開放悠閒的生活方式，激勵著她將這種精神帶入了自宅設計。這裡一切的設計皆從心所欲，不受材料、色彩和風格搭配的限制，如她所說， 「它是我的生活空間，這裡有我最喜歡的顏色和心愛的物品。」 這座建於二十世紀60年代的建築，克里斯汀從改建初期，便明確了設計原則，即：尊重建築的歷史性。所以，她選擇儘可能地保留建築外觀，釋放更多室內空間。拆除通向院子的外立面和大部分內牆後，內部空間變得通暢、明亮，也將壯觀的海景引入了別墅的每一個角落，整個別墅變得更開放並極具現代感。
為了增強空間的整體性和現代感，地面材質僅選用水泥，甚至房間之間也不做任何接縫設計。地暖設備解決了寒冷的日子裡房間會因此變得冰冷的問題，光腳走在光滑水泥板上反而會感到非常舒適。
此外，克里斯汀使每一處的細節處理都顯得輕鬆而精緻。馬賽克瓷磚是在西班牙南部定製的，房間內6種不同的壁紙來自世界各地，大理石來自意大利，百葉窗在波蘭完成訂製，燈具來自葡萄牙。精心挑選的家具和收藏品，如蛋椅（Egg chair）和衝浪板，通過明亮的色彩搭配，營造出強烈的視覺衝擊，使整個空間變得極具個性並充滿活力。
