PROTECT YOUR SKIN FROM THE SUN

The sun’s ultraviolet (UV) rays are the single largest reason for premature aging, as they damage the skin by destroying the skin’s collagen and elastin, which are needed to maintain a youthful complexion. Avoiding the sun altogether is virtually impossible, particularly during the summer months, so it is important to take preventive measures to protect your skin. While UVB rays (that cause sunburn) are strongest in summer, UVA rays (that cause wrinkles) remain constant throughout the year, regardless of season and weather. These powerful rays are also able to penetrate glass windows to impact our skin negatively. Hence, sunscreen should be worn daily, all year round. Make sure to add sunscreen as the last step of your morning skin care routine, and reapply it throughout the day on days when you get direct sun exposure.
