On November 8, 2019, the New Asia Chamber Music Society (NACMS) hosted its fourth annual gala “Triumphant” at the Harvard Club of New York City. It was a wonderful evening filled with inspiring music, passionate people, and great energy. The event drew many VIP attendees, including Ambassador Lily L.W. Hsu of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in New York; Ming Chiang, CEO of Casual Home; Patsy Fang Chen, Creative Director of the Youth Orchestra and Board Member of the Queens Symphony Orchestra; Violinist Cho-Liang Lin; and more.

Together with six music students supervised by NACMS, nine NACMS musicians performed classical music and famous pieces by Mozart, Alexander Borodin, and Jean-Baptiste Barrière as well as the D Major String Trio, which is a piece from their upcoming album Imagery in Music, which will be released soon. The D Major String Trio was composed by Sergey Ivanovich Taneyev in 1907.

The year 2020 is the 250th anniversary of the birth of Ludwig van Beethoven. NACMS will be featuring his chamber music works in all their concerts and events, in order to honor Beethoven’s contribution to classical music.
