Spain might not be the first country one immediately associates with luxury skin care. Nonetheless, one of the jewels of the luxury skin care world was born in Barcelona in 1979, conceived by Ricardo Fisas Mulleras.

Based on the pioneering concept of natural freeform amino acid technology, Natura Bissé first entered Spanish beauty establishments with five creams targeting different skin needs. By the end of the 1980s, the company had a total of 150 skin care products.

By the 1990s, after solidifying its position at home, Natura Bissé entered the United States, where its innovative and efficient formulas quickly captured the  attention of the luxury market. The launch of the Glyco Peeling and Glyco Peeling Plus (the first professional strength but completely safe at-home peels) was an instant success, and Natura Bissé was soon given entry to some of the most luxurious American department stores such as Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, and Barneys New York.

Success in the United States, in turn, opened the door to the international market, where Natura Bissé gained access to some of the most exclusive spas and department stores around the world.

The company’s legacy was sealed in 2000 with the launch of the luxurious anti-aging Diamond Collection, and in 2003 with the launch of the Inhibit Collection, which has been hailed as one of the most efficient cosmetic alternatives to microinjections and other medical aesthetic procedures.

Today, after many product and industry awards forits dedication to research and innovation, it is the spirit of its founding principles, a commitment to excellence, that ensures Natura Bissé continues to excel and solidify its position as one of the world’s leading luxury skin care brands.
